laura lombardi: christmas edition.

I got Timmy's brother's best girl in the Watson family draw. I got her these most amazing triangle earrings from Laura Lombardi. Handmade, very Chicago, and so so cool that I stared at them for about 20 minutes before wrapping. I kept thinking, I'll just go grab her something else and maybe keep these for me? Terrible. Christmas Spirit won out and she will get these in the mail shortly. I hope she doesn't read this blog. It shouldn't have been that hard a decision seeing as I DID get myself a little something when I went to pick those up:

Little cutie barely hexagon studs. I saw them on my pal a week earlier and scooped them as soon as I could. The BEST basic.

AND!! A Christmas surprise! I dropped this necklace off for repair a bit back (Mister Marmol got a little overzealous and had sent it soaring across the room during a particularly enthusiastic greeting) and just got it back! Like Christmas in July! Except for that it actually Christmas. A little tree decorating and we are officially ready for the Holidays.

Never been much of a napkin ring girl. Are napkins just so unruly and unpredictable that you need to strap them into a little tiny ring that barely fits the silverware let alone the napkin? AND YET. mike and dean get married!

We went to a most goergeous ever wedding a couple weeks ago. Mike and Dean. FOREVER. Here are some babes hanging post ceremony. We got to drink these juleps during the ceremony (I just realized how much I love drinking during the actual ceremony part of a wedding.):

Once I went to a party and wore a gingham peplum dress. A girl told me she loved it. She looked radical and I told her so. JUST LIKE THAT- PALS. Turns out she was even more the best then I knew then. Her name is Onye, she designs jewelry, is so thrilled with living her life, and is one of the most genuine people I have even come across. I got engaged to TimmyWats and JUST LIKE THAT- EARRINGS. They appeared in the mail a few days later. I love her. I do.

Her line, King Onye Label, is great and getting better all the time. She did a line of doorknocker earrings that were to die for and has moved onto necklaces. I adore it all, and this is top of my list. So simple, so pretty.

I have, at press time, at least three tattooed on my person. And wanting more. I want this puffiest of all heart shaped rings. Worn as a pinky ring. With that tiny blingy rhinestone catching the light. I want the gold with rhinestone. Obvs.

Meghan Lorenz is one of my favorite Chicago girls about town. She designs jewelry, does window installations, throws a super rad party, and always looks totally dope. Luckily for me, we also happen to share the same ring size. So when she made her first foray into cast rings I got to scoop this up as soon as it hit the interweb. It is the piece of jewelry I own that gets the most questions, so here it is and you can have one too!

Need Supply is also purveying a couple pieces of jewelry with thinly veiled Hunger Games references. Why don't you just sell some Prim hair bows or a Haymitch engraved flask? Sorry, too nerdy? Too nerdy. And, I really like em both. The District ring some apart and can be worn on both sides of the knuckle, awesome. I've been looking at some "hand pieces" and most are ruined by some trashy detail- a flower connector or a bunch of cheap chains. This leaves it plain and pretty. Cinna would totally wear it.
