I got Timmy's brother's best girl in the Watson family draw. I got her these most amazing triangle earrings from Laura Lombardi. Handmade, very Chicago, and so so cool that I stared at them for about 20 minutes before wrapping. I kept thinking, I'll just go grab her something else and maybe keep these for me? Terrible. Christmas Spirit won out and she will get these in the mail shortly. I hope she doesn't read this blog. It shouldn't have been that hard a decision seeing as I DID get myself a little something when I went to pick those up:
Little cutie barely hexagon studs. I saw them on my pal a week earlier and scooped them as soon as I could. The BEST basic.
AND!! A Christmas surprise! I dropped this necklace off for repair a bit back (Mister Marmol got a little overzealous and had sent it soaring across the room during a particularly enthusiastic greeting) and just got it back! Like Christmas in July! Except for that it actually Christmas. A little tree decorating and we are officially ready for the Holidays.
Laura Lombardi Jewelry HERE or HERE. For you and everyone else on your list.

david koma x greyhounds = everything.
It is ABOUT time someone did a collection based on these super beautiful and a little bit weird looking animals! Shelby sent me the link to these, she is basically my Google Alerts. I would love anything with a greythound it, but these go beyond. The shoes are amazing. Dagger point, high high pitch, that little loafer front. I die a million.
Here is the full collection: David Koma RTW Fall 2012.
The shoes were a collaboration with Alain Quilici. Koma also made these radical greyhound sweater dresses. Greyhounds or snakes you ask? It's always a little hard to tell. I like the white one best, look at that little sneaky smile.

Apparently he was inspired by these painting done by Giovanni Boldini, a greyhound enthusiast. (I would imagine he was anyway.) This is NOT what I look like when I walk greyhounds.
This IS how I look like when greyhounds try to get on the couch and watch movies with me and steal all the space. It's pretty dead on. And that guy looks very Mister Marmol-ish. Maybe we sat for this and I don't remember.
I don't know when his next greyhound collection is coming out but I just sent him this photo in case he needs inspiration for a resort line. The colors are very cruise-esque and the bananas and monkeys-- very tiki. Very tropical. Very so hot right now. I am sure he will appreciate it. Looking forward to a bunch of models stomping down the runway with their tongues hanging out in the next couple months.Thursday, January 26, 2012
wish i was...
I am stuck in PA. For work. I miss Timmy and my house and my Marmie Bear. Also, tonight is ladies and manicures night. And little ole Mols is in PA with the Real Housewives and Game of Thrones on audio book. The manicures are from a ladies/manicures at Ally's place a few weeks back. Check Shelby's super sweet black and gold glitter explosion. AH-maaaaazing. Too good. After that we had dinner at my place. Giant salad and a pizza that was long gone before I got a shot. We made it. I was quite proud. Boo. On the upside, I get to take a hottest shower ever with unlimited water from hotel sized water heaters. Ultimate luxury.
